My definition of Freedom
In my opinion, freedom is the ability to have equal rights in this country once past a certain age. It does not matter what the gender is. Race should not have an effect on equal rights either, Even if you're not born in a country, people should be entitled to equal rights as they're a citizen. It is our government job to right to protect it citizen rights. Since we live in a non-dictator government, we have the power to decide who's going represent us and ensure ours rights.
Some documents that support my definition of freedom are the thirteen and fourteen amendments. The thirteen amendment states that slavery is banned from U.S. This amendment was supposed to mean African American were no longer consider less that a human being. The fourteen amendment states that all citizen of the U.S. shall their right of life, liberty, and property protected. Therefore no matter what the gender, race, or sexuality, everyone get equal rights. In addition the thirteen and fourteen amendment, we also have the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration what the document that set the U.S. from Great Britain. It is mainly known for this quote;" We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" . This clearly means that everyone should have equal right no matter what.
